Joseph O'Hara began photographing as a teenager using a 35mm camera. Later, he put photography aside to pursue a career in engineering and technology management. In 2007, he began using a 4x5 view camera and immediately knew that this was the perfect tool for his work. He is completely self-taught as a photographer. His primary focus is on the silver-gelatin printing process, but he has also made platinum, carbon, and calotype prints. He resides in Marlton, NJ with his wife Marlene.
